Oddwork launches a mobile game

Oddwork is happy to announce that our new mobile game Oddgame is now officially available as a free download. Charles Sinclair, CEO and responsible for brand work, explains why Oddwork is releasing a mobile game.

Think we are crazy? “What, a mobile game?” you might be thinking. Give me a few seconds and I will explain.

Digitalisation has brought big changes to society, not least in the world of talent. According to the HR company CareerArc, 79 percent of today’s job seekers research a company’s employer brand and culture before even applying for a position with a potential new employer. In most cases, then, the contact with your company happens via social media long before the talent sets foot inside your doors.

To attract the best and most suitable talent, companies today need to build cultures that match what both the company itself and today’s generation of talent are looking for, and then get better at communicating it to the world.

With this in mind, we at Oddwork had an idea at the start of the year: our own mobile game! We quickly teamed up with our friends at the developer Insert Coin, and a few months later Oddgame saw the light of day.

Oddgame cap em all

Welcome to our world!
Oddgame takes place in Oddwork’s orange world. Our superhero Oddworkman flies through our conference room Cirkus, among flamingos and popcorn machines, to catch talent while fighting the villains Mr No Fun, Mr Unfriend and Mr Soulless, characters we at Oddwork really cannot stand.

Press play and join Oddworkman in Oddwork’s world.

Get to know the company culture before we meet
During the breaks, you get short company culture stories that give an insight into who we are and what we stand for. For example, you can read about our first office, a nine-square-metre nook next door to the Church of Scientology, or about when we were named “Sweden’s loveliest bunch!” by Great Place to Work, which evaluates organisations from an employee perspective every year. From today, we welcome old and new friends to download Oddgame before visiting us. All so that you get the chance to get to know Oddwork, and in turn we get the chance to get to know you.

Best regards,

Charles Sinclair

PS. Oddgame is now available as a free download from App Store and Google Play.
