At the turn of the year, Oddwork decided to sharpen its two business areas, recruitment and employer branding. The recruitment business area continues to scale its recruitment and staffing business towards medium-sized and large companies, while the employer branding business area grows towards larger groups such as Saab, SEB and LKAB. Daniella Ravan has previously been Head of Talent Management and a driving force in the company’s employer branding business. As CEO she will continue to foster the strong personal drive and prioritise the internal enjoyment at work that has contributed to the company’s results since the start.
“It is both exciting and challenging to step into the role of CEO. I joined Oddwork in October 2017 and quickly realised that this is a place where employees have a strong personal drive and where enjoyment at work is both prioritised and contributes to our results. That drive is exactly what I want to keep fostering as CEO. When the team feels good, the results feel good,” says Ravan.
“When I met Daniella for the first time six years ago, in her first interview at Oddwork, she asked me how we would build a world-class employer branding and recruitment company without losing our own fantastic culture along the way. ‘I hope talented people like you can answer that over time,’ I said, and from that moment Daniella has been one of the most central people in Oddwork’s journey. Daniella has an impressive leadership style, an operational understanding of every part of our business, skill in managing projects and a great passion for people. I can’t think of a better person for the job, and I am proud that an Oddworker who has been with us for so long is now stepping into the role of CEO,” says Poyan Karimi, co-founder and former CEO of Oddwork.
As a combined recruitment and employer branding company, Oddwork continues to push the boundaries for how its partners attract, recruit and retain the right people in a job market that has seen a lot of change in recent years.
“My most important task as CEO is to create long-term stability and profitability despite fluctuations in the world around us. We clearly see more and more organisations investing in their employer brand, and we are optimistic about the future,” says Ravan.
Ravan continues:
“We are a knowledge-intensive organisation, and people are a prerequisite for success. Without great people we are nothing, and that is the beauty of how we work: we have to practise what we preach.”
