PacsOn: Identifying a shared DNA

PacsOn is part of OptiGroup, the leading European distribution group. With local presence, deep expertise and strong personal commitment, they help their customers become profitable through tailored solutions in packaging and consumables. To reach their strategic goals and keep attracting and retaining the right talent, they turned to us at Oddwork. The assignment? To revise and package the organisation’s cultural values together with the employees. A collaboration that later grew into several new and exciting projects.

Finding a strong sense of unity

With an exciting journey of change both behind and ahead of them, PacsOn faced the challenge of closing the gaps between its business units and finding a common foundation for its culture and values. As a step on that journey, we developed new values together, based on the key insights we gathered through analysis, webinars, joint workshops and interviews with employees and leaders.

Strategic values that create engagement and belonging

After the analysis, the creative work began: putting words to the employees’ experience of PacsOn as an employer and combining it with the strategic goals and the journey ahead. The result was a set of values based on three perspectives: internal, external and strategic. In other words, what relevant candidates are looking for today, what PacsOn can offer its employees, and the company’s strategic goals.

But our collaboration did not end there. Once PacsOn’s new values were packaged, the partnership grew with new assignments: a roadmap to guide leaders in bringing the values into their daily work, a leadership guide, and a playbook showing how the company can communicate its values internally and externally. The project started with two workshops in Stockholm where we identified the desired leadership behaviours together, which were then packaged as an LVP (Leadership Value Proposition).

“With the help of our partner Oddwork, we have explored questions such as how we make sure we are an attractive employer, what it means to always act in the customer’s best interest, and how we keep a culture where we care about each other and have fun at work.”
