The Magnet Employer Branding Awards: pioneering employer branding arena celebrates six years
The Magnet Employer Branding Awards, an important knowledge and competition arena for Swedish employer branding, celebrates its sixth anniversary this year. Since the start, the industry initiative has been a meeting place for innovative and outstanding employer communication.

This year The Magnet Awards is hosting an inspiring industry day followed by an awards night on 10 April at The Park Södra in Stockholm. The event aims to highlight the value of employer branding and how employers can successfully navigate and communicate in today’s uncertain times.
Helena Rex, project manager for The Magnet Awards, stresses the importance of the event: “This year marks six years of innovation and excellence in employer branding through The Magnet Employer Branding Awards. We look forward to welcoming everyone who wants to explore the power of employer branding and how it can strengthen employer brands in a time of uncertainty.”
The purpose of The Magnet Awards is to recognise employer communication that not only moves people but also goes beyond expectations and creates measurable results. Hieronymus Rony Lutz, copywriter and co-founder of The Magnet Awards, underlines the competition’s goal: “We want to reward the employers and agencies that manage to move people deeply, challenge norms and show real business value.”

This year The Magnet Employer Branding Awards faces the challenge of recognising employers who manage to navigate a time of recession, global uncertainty, the growing gig economy and hybrid work. The competition celebrates the most innovative and effective communication solutions and strategies that bring people and cultures together, even in challenging conditions.

The industry day will offer insights from leading employers and agencies, including McDonald’s sharing their experience of engaging the hopeless generation. Other prominent employers such as AFRY, PwC and Apotek Hjärtat will also show how they have integrated HR and communications to strengthen their brands from the inside out.
Since its start at Fotografiska in 2016, The Magnet Employer Branding Awards has grown exponentially, with new partners, jury members and high-quality entries. The initiative is now backed by five of Sweden’s leading employer branding agencies: Business & People, Universum, Coreworkers, Whydentify and Oddwork. This development proves the vital role employer branding plays in today’s business world.
