We have been named a Super Company and Di Gazelle 2018!

One award shows that we are running fast (Gazelle), the other that we are running in the right direction (Super Company). Honoured and grateful, we ask ourselves: where are we heading, and what do the awards really mean?

At a breakfast meeting just under a month ago, our CEO and co-founder Charles Sinclair ended by dropping two big bombs (read: awards):

Bomb 1
For the second year in a row (!) we were named a Gazelle: selected by Dagens Industri as one of the fastest-growing limited companies in Sweden (0.5 percent of Swedish companies become Gazelles).

Bomb 2
We have been named a Super Company (0.17 percent of Swedish companies receive this super award): companies that for at least four years in a row have made a profit, delivered returns, had a sound capital structure, shown healthy finances and kept growing steadily.

What do the awards mean for us Oddworkers?
Back to the present. December, Christmas preparations and time for reflection. In Stockholm, our driven Regional Manager Angelica Rossi looks back on the awards as important milestones.

– We have a clear picture of where we want to be in seven years and continuously follow up with each other within Oddwork, while always striving to be innovative and responsive to both individual businesses and society at large. The awards show that we are on the right track!

When Bisnode and Veckans Affärer announced the 2018 Super Companies, Per Weidenman, senior analyst at Bisnode, said the criteria are so tough that hardly any companies should make it through the eye of the needle. And those that do, do things differently from their competitors. They often break the industry pattern. Our warm Talent Manager in Gothenburg, Daniella Ravan, sees the person, both the business owner and the candidate, as more important than the monetary value of the deal:

– The foundation of Oddwork is about making dreams come true and matching the right person with the right company culture. Last week I interviewed an almost perfect talent for a company in the Gothenburg region. The CV match was 100 percent. But her goals for the future did not match the company’s. That is why I see the awards as proof that I made the right choice when I did not present her to that partner, but instead took her to another partner whose journey was even more in line with her own dreams and ambitions.

With a focus on matching personality and company culture, our goal is to drive an orange revolution that shakes up both the employer branding and recruitment industries. Someone who has been on the orange journey for a couple of years is our engaging Senior Account Manager, Björn Lidberg. For three years, the paratrooper from Lidköping has watched our growth from the driver’s seat:

– We are convinced the world would be a better place if everyone followed their dreams. And in that we care, a commitment you can see in every single Oddworker. We work hard, together.
